Mortgage Blog Thursday – It’s March Already?

Happy Thursday!

Can you believe it is March already and nearly 1 year since the craziness of 2020 started?  Wow.

I hope your 2021 has started out great.

The Dempsey’s have been busy as always.  Connor’s soccer team that I helped coach won their championship last weekend!  Of course it was my awesome coaching (Yeah not really…the kids were great :))   Logan played basketball and had fun and Emilia is in ballerina dance class.  So we are always on the go.  Cheryl and I did manage to get away for a great dinner at Oak and Ember Steakhouse in Port St Lucie.  If you haven’t been there, it was great.

On the mortgage front, I am blessed to work with some great families buying and refinancing their homes.  Rates have gone up quite a bit since Jan 1st, about 0.375% since Jan 1st.  However, you have to have some perspective.  I started doing loans in 2007 when rates were 7%.  Right now we are still pricing in the 3s and 2s.  That’s still a great rate to refi or buy a home.

We have also helped clients close fast on purchase and refi.  Just recently this week 6 days on a Purchase!  In this competitive real estate market it helps to have that to offer.
